Respect the Mexican Flag or Else!

Well here is just one more example of how we are to respect the customs and flags of other countries.

The Mexican ambassador to Spain is up set at an ad in which Burger King uses a tall cowboy and a short Mexican wrestler that is wearing a cape with the Mexican flag on it.

Apparently Mexico is strict about the use of its flag and does not reciprocate those feelings toward our flag to the immigrants that they encourage to come to the U.S.

We know they have very strict immigration laws; now we find out they have strict flag observance laws. Why do they trash our values and symbols but yet there will be hell to pay if we disrespect them.

This is why people like myself are embittered toward immigrants who disrespect our flag and our customs. I know, I know, they are here to do the work that Americans do not want to do (right G.W.) Yeah, about that, I am sure right now Americans are saying any job is better than no job, and to hell with the migrant worker.

Oh by the way the American flag in the U.S. flies above the Mexican flag always, so take a flying leap you United State-ophobic freaks!

Here is this infuriating sorry story

Mexico slams Burger King for 'whopper' of insult

MEXICO CITY (AP) - Mexico is protesting what it says is a whopper of an insult.
An advertisement for Burger King's chili-flavored "Texican" burger that has run in Europe shows a small wrestler dressed in a cape resembling a Mexican flag. The wrestler teams up with a lanky American cowboy twice his height to illustrate the cross-border blend of flavors.

"The taste of Texas with a little spicy Mexican," a narrator's voice says.

The much-taller cowboy boosts the wrestler up to reach high shelves and clean tall windows, while the Mexican helps the cowboy open a jar.

Mexico's ambassador to Spain said Monday he has written a letter to Burger King's offices in that nation objecting to the ad and asking that it be removed. Jorge Zermeno told Radio Formula that the ads "improperly use the stereotyped image of a Mexican."

Press officials at Burger King Corp. offices in Miami, Florida, and Madrid, Spain, did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Burger King is known for its signature Whopper hamburger.

One of the things that most angered Mexican officials was a print edition of the ad showing the wrestler wearing what appear to be a Mexican flag as a cloak.

(Here is the part of the story that will upset you!)
"We have to tell these people that in Mexico we have a great deal of respect for our flag," Zermeno said.

Mexico has very strict rules about using the flag. In 2008, the government fined a foreign-owned publishing house, Random House Mondadori SA, for showing disrespect to the country's flag in a video posted online.

The video showed a literature fan wearing a Mexican flag like a cape as he barges into a book signing and rips a piece of cloth from the coat of Brazilian writer Paulo Coelho.

It is not the first time that fast-food outlets have offended Mexican sensibilities.

Mexicans and other Hispanics in the United States objected to a Taco Bell ad from the 1990s that featured a pint-sized talking Chihuahua that spoke with a Mexican accent.

B.O. Our Embarrassment But a Socialists Dream

Dude where is the Keg!

After the G(whiz)20 summit and an end to “Post-War Anglo-Saxon Capitalism”
Nicolas Sarkozy, France’s president, said that agreement on a new regulatory regime and crackdown on tax havens showed that “a page has been turned” on an era of post-war “Anglo- Saxon” capitalism.
This is a little surprising since he threatened to walk out of the talks and the Brits have been warning that you can not tax and spend your way out of a recession as deep as this one had been. Are we even surprised at this latest development. Limbaugh was right when he said that all the talk over BO not getting the reception that he would want, was a bunch of BS. BO fulfilled his socialist/fascist wish list. It is apparent that the fix was already in even before BO went over the pond. He did not want to be embarrassed if things had fallen through.

But there is one surprise, the Chinese, as world leaders are threatening to black list tax havens such as Hong Kong.

The summit ended with smiles as a dispute between China and France over the blacklisting of tax havens – including possibly Hong Kong and Macao – continued behind the scenes
.

You have to understand that the Chinese are the epitome of socialism (yeah I also know they are communist), why would they want to have a tax haven on their soil, maybe capitalism is looking really good to them right now. You have to admit it is real strange that the Chinese government got rid of capital gains taxes in order to spur economic growth (hey BO are you listening.)

Any how; on to my gratuitous comparison between how BO is being treated to how former President Bush would have been treated.

Giving Her Majesty an iPod, how gauche, besides she already has one. Well its not like he has not given other British officials cheap gifts, remember the DVD’s to the PM.

Just imagine if this had been former President Bush, that would have been comic fodder to last into summer reruns and not to mention what Micheal Moore would have done with that (he would wet himself producing another "documentary.") And a barrage of “G.W. is soooooooooooooo stupit” stories would have pumped the dragging ratings of MSNBC and others (you know the 20 or so people who watch it.)

I am sooooooooo glad that I am an Amerikan (that’s the teleprompter not me, honest.)

You have to be glad that we elected this idiot, now we will know the next time around, if there is a next time around, the truth squad may be hunting me down so I should stay out of Missouri.
